Taking on the More-than-human Perspective on Research Ethics
A public article by early-career anthrozoologists examining how research ethics can better account for other-than-human animals and the limits of established review processes.
REA published a contribution by Kris Hill, Jes Hooper, Sarah Oxley Heaney and Michelle Szydlowski exploring a more-than-human perspective on research ethics.
The article considered the ethical treatment of animals, cultural assumptions and the responsibilities of researchers and institutions, linking these questions to workshops developed for REC2021 and REC2023.
