Problematising the Ethics Process — REC2021 Workshop
A REC2021 discussion workshop examining the ethics committee process through an anthrozoological perspective and inviting participants to consider alternative approaches to ethical review.
Hosted by members of the University of Exeter's Anthrozoology as Symbiotic Ethics working group, this REC2021 workshop used an anthrozoological perspective to examine limitations in conventional ethics committee processes.
Through a discussion-forum format, participants shared experiences of ethical review and considered how established approaches may not adequately address the complexities of research involving human and other-than-human participants.
