More-than-human Perspectives on Research Ethics — REC2023 Workshop

A REC2023 workshop using case studies to open discussion about the ethical treatment of other-than-human animals and researchers' responsibilities beyond formal ethical approval.

Delivered at REC2023 by a team of early-career anthrozoologists, this workshop invited participants to examine research ethics from a more-than-human perspective.

The session used case studies to consider the ethical treatment of animals in research, cultural bias, institutional approval and researchers' continuing responsibilities after ethical approval has been granted.
